Our Mission

To impact the lives of underprivileged children by igniting their passions for STEM

In a world where STEM is quickly becoming prevalent and necessary for both academic and professional endeavors, teaching students and providing them with a passion for STEM is necessary. However, many communities, including refugee, economically disadvantaged, and underrepresented minority communities, do not have access to the resources to provide their children with education in STEM fields. Our CuriouSTEM journey began in the Summer of 2019 in order to provide underprivileged students equitable paths to success in science, math, and technology. We are committed to educating students in order to close the STEM opportunity gap.

Why Our Mission is Important?

We must inspire and help young students before they lose interest in STEM.

  • By 4th grade, 1/3rd of the students will lose interest in STEM if they don’t have enough support and mentoring beyond school education.

  • By 8th grade, 50% of students will lose interest in STEM or decide not to choose STEM as their career path if they don’t have supplementary STEM education.

  • However, 80% of the professional jobs will need STEM knowledge in the future.

  • Our programs are tailored to help students to improve self confidence and STEM related skills.

  • STEM skills beyond classroom is proven to have better attitude about school and learning and less likely to drop out of school.

  • Decreased High School dropout rate Increases college enrollments.
